Jennifer Government 1) Ordinary world: Jennifer's ordinary world is being a single mom and working for the government. 2) Call to adventure: Jennifer's call to adventure is trying to stop the Nike shooters at the mall and then going after John. 3) Refusal of call: Jennifer's refusal of the call is her daughter Kate. She feels bad always leaving Kate to do something for work. 4) Mentor: Jennifer's mentor is her partner Calvin. He is her friend and is usually always there to help her especially when she goes after John Nike. 5) First threshold: Jennifer's first threshold is going to London to help with the ambushes and also finding out that John is in London too. 6) Tests, Allies, and Enemies: One of Jennifer's tests is to look after Billy NRA while trying to find John. Jennifer's allies are Buy Mitsui and Calvin. Her enemies are John Nike and her boss Elise. 7) Approach to inmost cave: Following John to London and LA even though her boss ordered her to take a break. 8) Supreme Ordeal: Jennifer has a couple of supreme ordeals. The first one is being caught by the NRA after confronting John and learning that he has Kate. The next is being caught in the mall that is in the middle of being attacked. The last is when she continues to follow John even though he threatened to kill Kate is Jennifer followed him. 9) Reward: Jennifer's award is finding out that John lied and Kate was safe and then being able to arrest John. 10) The Road Back: Jennifer's road back is the long flight she has to get back home to see Buy and Kate. 11) Resurrection: Jennifer's resurrection is finally seeing Kate and Buy again. 12) Return with the Elixir: Jennifer's elixir is that she finally is able to trust her judgment and love again. At the beginning she was made fun of by Calvin because she never dates and throughout the book she overcomes that by falling in love with Buy. She also learns to trust her judgment because if she had listened to Elise and had taken a break she would have never caught John.
